Hello!
We’re Brooke and Jonathan Couch, adventurous wedding and elopement photographers. We’re really weird, we like to travel, have a good time, and explore with our dog. I started this business before we were married (hence ‘Brooke Miller Photography’), and although we probably need to rebrand at this point… We haven’t really put much thought into it. When I started this five years ago, I had no idea what I was doing, but it’s been an amazing journey so far. Jonathan ended up telling me towards the end of 2017, that his dream was for us to be able to work together full time. We’re all for real feelings, real emotions, real friendships, and real moments.
Pictured above: One of my favorite love notes Jonathan wrote to me on a price tag from when we were dating. Our sweet pupper- he is our whole world. How Jonathan asked me to marry him. He lit 300 candles in my backyard when I was sleeping. Then came into my room and scared the shit out of me. He stared at me for a while without saying anything and suddenly said, “My brother called…” And I was like, “Did someone die?!” And to which he replied, “No, he said there was a meteor shower outside, come watch it with me.” So I come outside and I start looking up not seeing anything haha. Then he tells me to look down, that’s what I see. Also, fun fact: we take majority of our photos together with our tripod, we named her Tina.

We’re very passionate about what we do. We truly feel we have the greatest job in the whole world.
Jonathan and i met walking down the street in Atlanta, then we continued to run into each other at the same place for two months after that day. I asked him out, and then 10 months later, he asked me to marry him.

Connection is key
You’ll be stuck with us because we will love you too damn much.
Our style is not traditional. It is fueled by connection, genuine emotions, nature, the wild, the fun, and the unplanned moments. Our clients are typically strange and unusual, adventurous, wild, and laid back… but more than any of those things, our clients are friends. We don’t want to be just another vendor at your wedding or elopement. We want to truly connect with you both, and to have fun with you guys as we document it all. We like to encourage people to have fun in the midst of chaos by being ourselves and welcoming our couples to also be themselves. We love our couples hard- they're the shit.
Sometimes the idea of taking photos has this connotation that it’s not supposed to be fun, but our biggest goal is to make one of the biggest days of your life fun, enjoyable, and memorable. Not only are you letting us into your lives, but we are also letting you into ours, so there needs to be a connection between us. With that connection comes trust, and when that is present, we create our best work. When it’s all said and done, we will have laughed with you, and cried with you… we will know your families, your favorite songs, we will see what makes you, you.

We’re not only here to build a friendship with you, but also create unique work for you. We do not copy and paste your wedding day. You are unique and your photos will reflect just that. The thing about life is, it is not a one size fits all. It’s messy, it’s not perfect, and it’s raw (unlike our JPEGS we deliver to you haha).
EMBRACE THE MESS
Life is a messy, wild, adventure.
Wedding days don’t always go completely as planned, and that’s okay. Embrace the mess– trust me you won’t regret it. If it downpours your entire wedding day or happens to rain during your engagement photos, don’t be afraid to dance in it. If the wind is blowing so hard that it’s messing up your hair, don’t worry because wind makes some of the dreamiest photos. Your dress will probably get dirty. You’ll be exhausted and hungry. But at the end of the day, you’ll be married to the love of your life. Make sure to soak in every moment, big and small because you’ll miss this day. Years down the road, you’ll look back and smile at the messy moments. Let loose, have fun, celebrate.
