Great Guana Cay, Bahamas Destination Wedding
We met Kailee and Zac last July in Sedona for their engagement photos. It was so much fun and we drove their jeep in the backcountry, and bonded over a sketchy fun drive, and champagne. They even chugged seltzers for us, freaking troopers. These two are dancing machines! From dancing in the rain in the desert, to dancing on top of their jeep, to dancing on the beach after ‘I do’s’ and even Kailee falling on the dance floor to immediately pop back up like nothing happened. I could watch them dance all day, and we basically did.
This is what an entire weekend looks like with us! Destination wedding weekends are our favorite thing to photograph and be a part of. We flew into the Bahamas, and took a boat over to Baker’s Bay. They picked us up on golf carts. Jonathan and I had big bruises on our legs from trying to squeeze our suitcases with our thighs on the back of the golf cart haha. This part of the island only has golf carts instead of cars and it’s the cutest thing ever. We scoped out the little island with Tana & Cody the day before the wedding and found all of the spots we wanted to shoot at. Their rehearsal was a blast! Basically the best beach party- bonfire, good food, good music. Probably the way the Fyre festival was supposed to be LOL. Kailee and Zac ended up getting in the water towards the end of the rehearsal, really drunk. A damn good time.
Wedding day- NO WORDS. It was honestly perfect. Their golf cart was covered in palm leaves & flowers. Best first look with dad. Firework sendoff at the end of the night. Tacos, tequila shots, and lots of dancing.
The day after the wedding everyone got together and grilled, we had a kickball competition and the ninja warrior course that was on the island. We’re so thankful to have played such a huge role in documenting this weekend! Thank you guys for taking us in and letting us feel like we were a part of the family. This is a weekend we will never forget. It was reaaaally hard to leave. Can we go back already?! LOVE you guys! <3
